I really like this place for running. The picnic area is about 1 mile from the parking lot, but the trails near the river are very natural (perfect for young adventurers). The trails are well maintained for recreational vehicle use, but I've never felt unsafe traveling...

Explored for a few hours doing some trail running. The single track hiking trails were great, the multi use trail was good but sandy and rocky; good ankle twisters if you're not paying attention. Lovely spot...
