I visit palmore park frequently, this park is a great use of the space to encourage more passive recreation. I am an active member of the Tuscaloosa Disc Golf Club and this park holds one of our 3 phenomenal courses in town. Palmore park offers open fairways with plenty of opportunities to let the disc fly and learn to play in the wind. This is the longest course in town in the standard positions, however with 4 tees and 2 basket locations on every hole there is plenty if variability. In addition, during the summer time it is a great place to host parties and cool off with the great splashpad. PARA seems to respond well to the wants and needs of park users. Read moreThe splash pad is a really nice play area for the kids so i give that 5 stars. My reason for 2 stars is due to major safety issues with the lounge equipment and the picnic tables at the splash pad area. The plastic lounge equipment is either broken or severely damaged. The metal picnic tables are broken with sharp rusty pieces sticking up everywhere. Some are even missing complete seats. I emailed PARA with this concern and 2 weeks later I still haven't heard back from them and probably never will.
