Always a good time. I'm pretty sure that we are going to skip the Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan this year. It is ridiculously expensive now and from what I understand, they are charging the vendors through the nose to have a space there, in excess of $600 per day and they are taking 3% of their profits as well. This may or may not be true, but many of the vendors at the mid Michigan Renaissance Festival said that they are done participating in the festival in Holly as well. It is just not profitable in any way for them to participate as vendors. Also, Holly is charging $15 to park. Absolutely ridiculous, money grabbing at it's finest. Our family is completely done and looking forward to the Mid-Michigan festival next year!

Highly recommend visiting Mid-Michigan Enchanted Forest the last three weekends of July when it's gates open each year. It is like walking back through time, as you enter the gates. Various buildings have been created for vendors and shops. A new Moss Grove Castle was built for the Children's play area. It is family friendly and located in a wooded area and provides sun coverage. The entertainment this year was incredible, including a puppy rescue pirate show and a full body combat armor show. There is a food court, and a working tavern if you choose to drink. Children can go on scavenger and gnome hunts and look for a baby dragon raised by the gnomes. Great place to visit.

Hand to hand combat, stage performers, musicians, a huge Viking village, and fairy tale characters walking around throughout the forest. A must see every year!

I brought my kids for the second year in a row. They absolutely loved it! It did rain some, but the trees did a good enough job at blocking the bulk of it. There is plenty of shade, too, for those hot July days. A very friendly and welcoming environment for some family fun or even fun with friends. The bathrooms are porta-potties. That's really my only complaint. And not enough of a complaint to stop is from going. Just use the bathroom before heading out. Stop before getting there if need be. Or just use it if you have too. I just hate porta-potties. There is a little area with a little equipment for the kids to run around a be crazy. The game area is also good to keep them entertained. The eating are is large enough in my opinion. So no complaints there. There was plenty of good food to...
