Still Bend / Schwartz House — Attraction in Two Rivers

My review is from 4 years ago when my partner & I, along with our friend were traveling up north to Illinois, Wisconsin & Michigan. We were always looking for FLW houses to visit & or just take pictures of. When we stopped by the one located here, we got out & started taking pics of the outside of the house as we always did & hoping not to intrude, a gentleman who was outside was doing something & noticed us. He asked if we would like to take a look inside & check out the backyard & told us to take our time. Long story short, after we were through looking around & came back outside & started chatting with Michael (one of the owners) he asked if we could help him put a fire pit together for this evenings' get-together, since we took a look at his house. After all was said & done, he invited us back for the party he was having in celebration of his birthday. We graciously accepted & came back with his favorite "spirit". It was a very casual & delightful party. The guests were warm & very eclectic & had some cool conversations with people from different walks of life. We had invited Michael to come visit us when he was going to be traveling to Oklahoma to see FLW's only "skyscraper" in Bartlesville, but we never connected again. I have thought of that warm hospitality many times over the past 4 years, especially since my partner passed from Cancer a couple of years ago. I know it was a treat for him to be able to take a look inside the house. We were always going to go back to stay a couple of nights, but it didn't happen with him but maybe someday in the near future with some good friends of...

I have only been in this home as a guest for a few hours but this house has transformed my view of life as it can be. The glow of the fire and the warm ambiance is something that one must experience before leaving this world. The snow outside our windows falls while the love of friends and family warms our souls inside. FLW created this home for nights like these. I hope everyone, everywhere, can enjoy this...

A must see for any FLW fan. My wife and I have been fortunate to see a good number of FLW homes (yes this includes the big names) and I feel this is the finest one on the list.
