Tappan Marina — Attraction in Uhrichsville

Ok, I'll be honest. I've been here 3 times, and each time had very different ratings. 1st time- most extended wait for food and drinks ever- portions were horribly small and bland, I found a bone in my chicken sandwich that almost cracked a tooth, and it seemed like they needed much more help (1/5 at best overall)

2nd time- with a lack of other decent options in the area, I figured to try it again; the food was better, portions were still smaller, the waitress was great but busy, there was an older crowd, and it was more reasonably priced, but overall very mid for what it could've been but improved (2.9/5)

3rd time- last week, service was excellent (our server, at least), and drinks came out fast- but I need a complete beer list since I had asked for a banquet. They had to check and had one (but it wasn't listed under the beer they had); the calamari app was double the size of the previous one, and the fried haddock was fantastic! And huge! The side salad was huge and good, but the side mac n cheese was pretty bad (tasted like microwave velveta that had been sitting out) Atmosphere- still an older crowd, and they had an Elvis impersonator, who was interesting but way loud (half to even have a conversation), but overall,, 4.5/5 experience

In conclusion, I am not sure what sort of management changes they've gone through over the last year or two; it just depends on the day, and who's on staff, but whatever they are doing now, they should stick with! Im giving it a 3/5 because the first two times were horrid and mid, but the third time was pretty solid- I'd say keep it up because whatever y'all are doing...

🫢 I don’t think I really should have stopped. Was a beautiful Sunday ride. Out on the bike and a friend also. We were standing for 10 minutes before the lady behind the counter even noticed us. Then finally we were seated. We were asked what we wanted to drink. 🍷 Got that in about 10 minutes. Came back about 25 later with them and we put order for side dishes/appetizers in. Came back in 15. We then ordered. We Sat for 46 minutes before she came back and said they will be right out with the food. At this time I am doing the best I can to bite my tongue while others have been served before we have and they arrived later. Now mind you she said food is coming. She did say it was busy. Food came in another 15. We ate. She came back with check and said a piece of pie was on the house. I said that I would take to go but my friend wanted to eat his. She came back and both were to go. She was a little upset from her facial expression when my friend asked for a fork. He was going to eat it determined. I then decided to eat mine also because it felt like they were pushing me out of the place. Had a family stand by our table… cause they thought we were going to getup. They actually put tables together right beside us to further push. What the heck did we do?? Was it because I was sweating hot. Couldn’t handle the traffic that day because she told us that quite a few things were sold out of. I still gave them a good tip. Didn’t even complain. It’s not as the same. Nice building, nice atmosphere. It was nice to eat outside on the lake. However I kept getting the sense that the staff wasn't terribly attentive. When I arrived, the hostess seemed to have a little trouble noticing that I was actually there standing in front of her. But once she did, she nicely showed me to a seat. After that I sat for 20 minutes plus without any acknowledgment from anyone at all. Went inside and said "am I supposed to have a waitress?" They rushed around and a waitress finally came over. She was very nice. "I'd like the salmon." "Oh, we're out of salmon." Ok...." So I ordered a hamburger and fries. Then I proceeded to wait 35 + minutes to be served. How long does it take take to cook up a hamburger and fries? Especially when the restaurant isn't busy? It took a total of one hour to be served. I was literally going to give up and leave at 7:20, but the food showed up at 7:19. The restaurant just opened a month ago, so they might still be...
