I accidentally came across this county park as I was driving along, so of course I had to stop and see what it was all about. There was a booth at the entrance but no one was there, so I'm not sure if it would normally cost money to come here or not. However the park is very large if your into hiking trails, fishing, walking your dog, etc. The Chippewa River runs through the park. There was an outhouse, large parking area, an area to put in or take out kayaks or canoe's too. I will definitely be coming back to check it out more in-depth when I have more time.

This was an absolutely beautiful park. Very quiet in the early morning today! I did not go for the whole trail loop due to it getting rather hot out quickly but when i did the short loop i was pleasantly surprised to be under the shade of pines! definitely made it a nice spot to take a breath. I got to see so many deer down at the river getting drinks or simply crossing! paid me no mind and i could just enjoy their presence. Please enjoy the photos I took during my visit!

Unsung hero of Isabella county parks, Meridian Park is very picturesque and great for a hike or river fishing. See an oxbow lake being birthed where the river has cut a new path. Very cool hangout spot near back of park under canopy of trees and among white pine needle floor. Side trails lead to additional adventures along river.

Meridian Park is a great place to go if you enjoy walking on a natural path. Our walks here range anywhere from 30 minutes to just over a hour depending on the route you take. My fiance and I love to bring the camera here and have had some amazing shots throughout the trails. This is a very common dog walking trail so be mindful you are not alone and pups are usually around. The park also offers rustic bathrooms on the right side of the park when you head towards the riverside. You can watch the river too if you don't feel like leaving your vehicle and park in front of the water. Great place to relax and become one with nature for...

They currently aren't staffing the entry box, so one can pull off the roadway and make a phone call or text without having to pay to park for 10 minutes, even though you won't get out of your car (like you would have to when it is staffed in the summer).

It seems like a decent park in the winter, and it might have a sledding area. I see lots of people exercising their dogs here too. I just stop to make calls and texts when I'm in the area and need to do that.

Otherwise, I've only been in the park when being picked up by the Chippewa River Outfitters from several kayak trips. I'd give them 5☆...
