Meridian Park is a great place to go if you enjoy walking on a natural path. Our walks here range anywhere from 30 minutes to just over a hour depending on the route you take. My fiance and I love to bring the camera here and have had some amazing shots throughout the trails. This is a very common dog walking trail so be mindful you are not alone and pups are usually around. The park also offers rustic bathrooms on the right side of the park when you head towards the riverside. Read moreThey currently aren't staffing the entry box, so one can pull off the roadway and make a phone call or text without having to pay to park for 10 minutes, even though you won't get out of your car (like you would have to when it is staffed in the summer).
It seems like a decent park in the winter, and it might have a sledding area. I see lots of people exercising their dogs here too. I just stop to make calls and texts when I'm in the area and need to do that.

Read moreI accidentally came across this county park as I was driving along, so of course I had to stop and see what it was all about. There was a booth at the entrance but no one was there, so I'm not sure if it would normally cost money to come here or not. However the park is very large if your into hiking trails, fishing, walking your dog, etc. The Chippewa River runs through the park.
