Just finished hiking here and it's definitely going to be my go-to spot. Excited to come back to explore more of the trails. Location is great as it's close to the city but super tranquil and quiet. There are also a number of picnic tables.
Parking lot was easy to find and had a number of spots (roughly 10-12) though on a busier day might recommend carpooling. Bathroom was simple to find and open.
Beautiful trail with a mix of gravel and dirt, meadows and forest. There are lots of small drawbridge throughout the hike and plenty of birds!
👍👍Big plus was that there were posts, markers and signs at each point. See pictures for detail.
Recommend for anyone looking for a easy to slightly medium hike depending on which trail you take.

Read moreClean! With as many people as we passed, we were surprised at how very little evidence of human traffic there was on the trail. During our entire walk, we only saw one, small barcode sticker from fruit on the trail (that we picked up and carried to a waste receptacle, of course). The trails can be thin at times, single file is still a tight squeeze, but we didn't mind, it was only for short stretches. We were pleased with how muffled road noise is throughout most of Evens Creek Preserve. As recommended, we had a bear bell on a pant loop, so we didn't see wildlife with the exception of butterflies and other insects. Mosquitoes were there, but we made it through without any bites (no bug spray used before or during). At least two picnic tables are in full sun, so we are glad we brought snacks that we could eat while we walked in the shade of the wooded portion of the trails. The trail markings and mapping are some of the most clear and thorough we...
Read moreLovely 179-acre former-farm-turned-preserve just off Redmond-Fall City road (202). Features 3+ miles of mostly flat crushed gravel, dirt, and some paved trail (some ADA-accessible) and boardwalk. The trails pass through meadows, wetlands, and second/third growth forests of moss-draped big leaf maples, vine maples, alder, and Douglas fir. There are a lot of nurse stumps which may capture the attention of some young naturalists. Exceptionally well signed at every trail intersection - you cannot get lost! Lots of birds. I also heard frogs and caught fleeing sight of deer (per the signs, black bear also frequent the preserve). There's a gravel parking lot for maybe 10 cars (no fee or pass required). Very clean vault toilets. A few picnic tables and benches scattered around, too. Dogs allowed - strictly on leash - and there are doggie bag stations. Perfect leg stretch and a nice alternate destination if other local parks...
