This was a disappointing experience for us. We were looking for a quaint, close-by location to get married this past August. The Red Barn Farm was definitely a beautiful venue that fit that bill.

However, after the experience we had, I wished we would have chosen a different location due to a number of reasons.

The owner did NOT show, or was 90 minutes late, for the vendor and final walk through meetings - our only two meetings prior to the wedding. Any communication with the owner required both my husband and I to follow-up repeatedly via phone/text/cell to get some sort of response.

The day of the wedding, we arrived at our contracted time, only to find the venue in total disarray and dirty from an event the night before. It was supposed to be set up, ready for decoration and vendors.

It took a dozen of our adult family members 2-3 hours of working alongside the owners to get the venue ready.

While the owners apologized and promised to "make it right" with reducing our final total, they ended up offering a $60 deduction for our inconvenience.... this is on a $4250 Friday venue rental. Completely unacceptable for the stress and extra work required on our part.

Our caterer couldn't use the barn's kitchen, as she said it was too dirty to be used for food prep. We also found out right before the wedding that the kitchen sink is actually not hooked up to water or a drain. There was no food-safe water source in the barn; just an outdoor hose. We also had to ask to have a very full cat litter box removed from the buffet area during set-up.

While I know the owners mean well, and it really is a beautiful property, I think it would be a good addition to have a dedicated event organizer on staff to eliminate this disorganization and stress for all sides. If you use this venue, have everything in writing ahead of time with financial penalties if the product is not delivered, or so that you are protected...

Beware, advertising online not mention mandatory payment to visit the premises. I came here to do some plein air painting during the day, was approached 30min later and asked if I was with an event (which wouldn’t be starting until evening anyway), and then requested to pay $35 per hour of my stay. Very steep price!! And not advertised on their website at all :( Google mentions the barn is open 10-4 and there are no signs upon entering the property that there is a fee. Quite misleading.

I had to pay retroactively for the time I was there. I wish there was a more explicit signage and their coordinator was more understanding.

2 stars because while the property is lovely, the steep price and poor transparency made it a bad experience. As an artist, i had to pack up my unfinished work and call it a loss. I’d recommend going to Maltby Farm and Flower World for a better and more friendly and...

Visited The Red Barn Farm in Redmond for a kid’s birthday party and it was a refreshing change from the usual indoor venues. The sunny weather made the whole experience feel extra special, especially with the kids running around, feeding goats, chickens, and even a pony. It was heartwarming to see them connect with nature instead of bouncing in a jumpy house or sitting in front of arcade machines at Chuck E. Cheese. The farm had a peaceful, rustic vibe that made it easy for the parents to relax too. That said, I do wish there was a proper restroom instead of just a portable toilet. It definitely takes away from the experience a bit. The handwashing station was there but not easy to spot, which isn’t ideal for a place where kids interact with animals. Still, it’s a unique and wholesome venue, and I’d absolutely consider coming back for another special...
