For the last couple years I'd been going to a different pumpkin patch with my kid, and today I happened to miss the exit off the highway. At a gas station I punched in 'pumpkin patch' and Pigeon Roost came up. It was now closer to my original choice due to my navigation error, so I figured what the heck.
Wow! This place is Amazing! The pumpkin and gourd selection was great. Some local vendors are setup along with them and there are custom woodworks, caricature drawings, face painting, jewelry and more at prices that didn't make me squeamish.
Entrance to the "Fun Zone" play area is currently $9/ea (with upgrades available for hayrides and paintball) and well worth the price of admission. Slides everywhere, some animals, swings, carnival-type games like skeeball and basketball, human hamster wheels, a zipline, a corn maze and more.
There's an aerial photo of the corn maze outside the entrance and I suggest you snap a photo of it with your phone, as it may come in handy.
No pets or wagons allowed in the play area. That's disappointing but there's a steep hill (there are steps) right at the entrance so I understand. Maybe they can figure out a way to accommodate them in the future.
I'm so pleased I missed my exit! (How many times do you get to...
Read moreThey have lots of pumpkins of all sizes and types to choose from. I like that the corn maze was great for little ones because the corn wasn’t too tall. The animals are always a fun thing for kids to see. The straw tunnel was great. We spent lots of time playing in the the corn in the barn. That was the best part for our granddaughters. What a great idea. It’s corn in place of like sand. So it’s a huge corn box with toys to play with. Everything is spread out so it’s lots of walking for little ones. They do have wagons you can use. They are nice for buying pumpkins and toting them around. The biggest issue I have is the prices. It’s $11 per person to get into the fun center. That is for everyone 2 years old and over. 2 year old loose interest pretty quickly. If they wanted face painting that’s an additional cost of $3. Wagon rides cost more too. There is plenty of parking available. They are closed Monday and Tuesday so plan accordingly. They...
Read moreThis place is an extremely fun to bring the family to. They have a wide selection of pumpkins and gourds to choose from that are very good in quality. Although the pumpkins can get a little pricey the bigger they are, they are very nice pumpkins. The play center is very popular and has so many fun things to do but it does cost some money for kids and adults. The corn maze is the most popular and everyone loves going through it. They also have many spots where you can stop and have something to eat and drink with picnic tables to sit at. Pigeon Roost Farm will also hold company events, they will make sure to have enough seats for your party and have wrist bands for you. With your wrist bands you can get into the play center for free and get a free small pumpkin. Going to pigeon Roost Farm has always been a tradition in my family and every year we absolutely cannot wait to go. I 10/10 would...
