A nice historical visit on the way to Cinnamon Beach. Unfortunately, there aren’t educational signs like are present at Annaberg! Overall super fun, especially with teenagers. Lots of little trails into the woods to discover other ruins as well. It’s hard to imagine the 300 acre plantation that surrounded this windmill during the sugar boom. The history of the ruins is accessible online. Overall a wonderful stop. Very...

Really cool ruins, some of the more intact ruins on the island.

The road in from Centerline Rd is mostly unpaved, but easily manageable in a high clearance vehicle. If you are taking the road up from N Shore Rd, be prepared for some tight switch backs and steep climbs. It's doable, but if you are adverse to narrow, steep roads it is best to access the Catherineberg Estate Ruins from the top of the hill...

Just purely a place of beauty. Ruins are ruins… but sometimes you come across architecture that was definitely thoughtful and a sight to see. We happen to come across a local playing his saxophone inside one of the structures and it was absolutely beautiful. Definitely stop in the national park and walk through these ruins....

A ruin that has been kept up just right off the road. No hiking required, you drive right to it. It’s rich in history and makes for a great photo op. We arrived around 8:30 am and had the whole place to ourselves for almost an hour. You don’t need that long, but we were taking a ton of photos. It’s very interesting.
