Update, Aug 2024: they redid the playground entirely. Now the ground is rubber. There are more climbing structures and swings than the old playground. I'm kinda disappointed that they don't have seesaw anymore. Another downside I noticed was that the yellow colored swings and slide were infested with small bugs, only the yellow ones; hence sadly, they were not usable.

Original review: We came here for the playground. My toddler loves playing here because of the seesaw. They offer plenty of options for younger kids, as well as for bigger kids. The only downside for me is that the ground is mulched, instead of rubber, but that's just...

Beautiful park...but too many people are there with their dogs not on leaches and it is ridiculous...that park is too nice to feel that unsafe....I felt unsafe and I felt my dogs were not safe either....four times people's dogs ran up to me and my dogs and they were not on leashes and the owners laughed it off and said my dog is nice all the while their dogs were growling at me and my dog...it's ridiculous and there are signs everything to keep your dog on a leash...I'll never go back...too many entitled people at that park that want to do...

A great, well kept park for walking the pups, or walking in general. Paved walkways that can be looped together for longer walks, or just going around the perimeter path is about 1.1 miles. Various species of trees are marked and there are benches to take breaks on. Soccer fields, baseball diamonds and tennis/pickleball courts are here, as are youth athletic leagues on weekends. A wetland with a wooden boardwalk (careful it's slick when wet) gives a shady view of waterfowl. And beware the weather warning siren that's tested every...

Good park with a lot of facilities to do here... we went for a picnic and we totally enjoyed it... this park has tennis court and a baseball as well and I was impressed because they had clean restrooms... every area of the park was clean and tide... people keep them in a good shape and that wonderful... also it has a public library there if you are interested in reading... great park in conclusion...

Went there after nearly 6 months- and for the 1st time this winter season. Thanks to all the construction on Fishinger road in Fall 2023- I avoided walking North on Reed Road for months!! Thompson Park did not disappoint- it was just as nice as it was in Summer. Beautiful open spaces, nice walking path and many activities.
