What a beautiful place in general, but I hosted a baby shower there this past weekend and what a great time everyone had. We had about 30 people and the size was perfect and it could definitely comfortably fit 50ish as we had the tasting room plus the outdoor patio attached. The staff was so friendly and personable and everyone kept saying how if they could remarry they would definitely do it there. literally no pictures online can do this place justice it is a must experience in person! It feels like a getaway oasis looking out at the grounds! They have handicap accessible parking, bathrooms (changing tables also!), and even an elevator for the second floor which is like a big ballroom type loft (beautiful view up there i imagine the fall would make for a picture perfect wedding) all great since we did have a need for it in our group of guests. It’s also kid friendly which was great because I had to bring my two small ones with me.
The wine was excellent and the price point overall was as expected and comparable to any venue alike if not more affordable. They have any drink package you would hope for which includes service (the two ladies were so kind and easy going) and add ons such as clean up. And tons of catering, flower, event planning suggestions available in their online portal that is used for payments and communication.
The only thing that I can think to leave as feedback is that a little before the end of our party there were guests not from our party coming to sit on the patio we had rented and helped themselves to water etc even though there was a sign that said private party. Which is okay since it was toward the end but maybe there would be bigger signage available to redirect because It felt a little awkward.
We had perfect weather and I the mother to be will definitely remember her first baby’s celebration thanks to Domaine Pterion!
Again thank you so much for opening your BEAUTIFUL vineyard and tastefully renovated historic barn to our shower!
We hope to find another reason to book an event in...
Read moreVery quaint and charming Vineyard, tasty wines, and very sweet staff but unfortunately this experience was soured by two separate interactions with the owner. Both encounters were unwarranted and afterwards I was made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. I have never been handled by anyone let alone the owner in such a manner. I wish the kindness of the rest of the staff could make up for her lack of tact but sadly it can't and I don't be back in the future.
Editing here since I can't reply to their response: as guest to the event I was attending I was treated rudely by the owner on two separate occasions. I complied with her request after she rudely told me to they needed to clear the tables (which is totally understandable, the event was officially over and the staff needed to clean up) and that wasn't 45 min after the event was over, 15 minutes at the most. The situation could have been handled better especially when providing an experience that will leave lasting impressions on guests.
Update based on most recent reply: there was absolutely no refusal by anyone at my table let alone myself to let the staff clear the table (they hadn't gotten to us yet) and the first time we were approached was by the owner (exchange above). And it was approximately 15 min, I checked the time just before this encounter. The event ended at 7pm and this happened at 7:13pm. Echoing sentiments mentioned already: this has been overall very unfortunate and could have been handled very...
Read moreMy husband and I randomly stopped by this past Saturday and have now found a new favorite place. Everything from the stunning design of the facility, to the amazing ambiance, to the fine details and interior design was simply amazing. Jan was extremely nice from the beginning and gave us some insight to the place before our tasting. We ended up meeting Karey outside (she was not working but just visiting with family) and ended up staying for hours talking and enjoying the delicious wine. Karey then introduced us to Elizabeth, the one owner, who then proceeded to take me on a tour of the entire facility. It was during the tour that I was able to fully appreciate the work that they have put into the place. I was fortunate to not only have the tour from Elizabeth, but to hear and see first hand what they have done and continue to do. I also met Dan, Elizabeth's husband and the other owner, on the tour and saw that he was busy working on the groom's quarters. I was floored that ownership took the time to not only speak with me, but walk me around and explain how they acquired items and how long they had the vision of Domaine Pterion. A huge thank you to Elizabeth, Dan, Karey and Jan for providing my husband and I with a wonderful, albeit unexpected afternoon! We will absolutely be back! Oh, and if anyone is looking for a wedding venue or private party venue, this place is beyond picturesque and comes at a more than...
