Probably my least favorite of the 3 overlook sites on the PA side of the river, but it still has some great views of Mt. Tammany. The best part about this overlook is that you can see a lot of hawk activity around the summit, especially if you brought binoculars. When I went (early spring), the overgrowth below blocked my view of the Delaware and Arrow Island, but there was a good amount of animal activity there too, so it’s all for the best. Would recommend going to Point of the Gap Overlook if you can only stop at one, but they’re so close you might as well drive a bit further and decide for yourself which is better!

The slope below the overlook has so much [possibly Ailanthus] trees that you cannot see the river or Arrow Island from the overlook. Not worth a stop.

Straight up, it's literally just trees. That's all you can see. I'm told there is an island behind the trees, but I cannot confirm nor deny that.

The views of Mt. Tammany in NJ are gorgeous and there is a nice trail that will take you up the Slateford Farm. There are a couple of interconnected trails along the way with creeks, old farm buildings, and meadows filled with wildflowers to see. Nearby Slateford Falls is just a short walk down from the top of the trail. Steady elevation changes with some steeper sections, gets slippery after...

Well, I was broken down, waiting on AAA and what better view, right? Being a native of this area, the scenery is taken for granted. Another awesome place to bring your significant other. When you're done here, just drive around the area. I promise you'll find many other...
