Amazing wine!!! Upon our first trip down the stone driveway, the sight of the vineyards before you even turn off the main road can impress anyone. Almost picturesque grape vine covered rolling hillside. Once you get to the building, and make your way to the top of the steps (don't worry, handicap access around the back). Our first trip here was in the cold winter just before Christmas, We were greeted by the wine maker and his lovely wife. We were welcomed by the warmth of the fireplace. A very cozy atmosphere. A tasting bar that features a very intimate environment, and a view that overlooks the vines in one field as well as the valley in the distance. The wine tasting menu is smaller than other local wineries. But every item on the menu is very pleasing to the pallet of any dry wine enthusiast. While Mohinder pours the wine, he not only educates you about the wine but shares personal experiences in the painstaking journey of wine making. Few have the passion required for wine making like he has. Of all of the good wines they offer, no wine was more surprising than "Shukryia" Chambourcin. In December of 2017 I made very first visit, and my wife and I took home a bottle, it was very good. After a few months, an evening of entertaining other wine enthusiasts. After having some fine Italian and California wines, We decided to finish the evening with a local wine. If I could have predicted what would have happened to that Chambourcin from when we bought it until we opened it, I would have bought a case. The wine was absolutely amazing. Not only did it steal the show from all the other wines we had enjoyed, but we immediately decided to go back to see if it was a fluke or a wonderful transformation that the Chambourcin has experienced. Much to my delight Mohinder let us know it was continuing to get better in the bottle. We have returned countless times since this place opened. M&M continues to grow and improve with every passing growing season. Cabernet Franc has become one of the best wines they have to offer. The port style wine is most likely the most underrated they offer dark rich and flavorful, it leaves you with a nice warming feeling. One truly special wine available for those that enjoy white wines is the Late Harvest Vidal, exploding with aromas crisp and flavorful with just enough sweetness to carry the “Late Harvest” name but it is exceptionally dry and it’s golden color makes it the equivalent to drinking liquid gold. I highly recommend you visit. We absolutely love this place and will...
Read moreEverynow and again you stumble upon a hole in a wall; a spot to call your own, M&M Vineyards is that spot for me. The Mrs and I were looking for a quiet afternoon to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we went in with little to no expectations and were pleasantly surprised. Moe, the owner is an exceptional host. His warm conversations and the back story gave more of a human touch to the experience.
The wines were delicious and refreshing, I really enjoyed 2017 Mt Bethel Delicia. For food, we ordered from a nearby Italian restaurant recommended by Moe and were content with the quality and quantity. The portions are for two, and prices are very affordable as well.
The facility and the experience are within COVID...
Read moreMeeting with the owner was the highlight of our visit. Both owners are former scientists that have a passion for wine making. The story behind this vineyard is amazing. While too long to write here, Im sure he will tell you if asked. Not to mention they give 2 free college scholarships to kids that choose to work there as part of a high school program. They also donate all tips to a battered women’s shelter. Fantastic! The tastings were as you would expect, 6 wines for 8 bucks. Property gorgeous. Super clean, many places to sit. Make it a point to come here for the history alone. It really is amazing. Jim and Kristin....
