I attended a Fungi Forage event last weekend. Attendance was to the max. We started by learning some fungi education from PA's first appointed mycologist Hannah.& Another guy I'm sorry I can't recall his name .. We then split off into groups led by one of 3 fungi "professionals" & ventured on the trails to find whatever mushrooms we could. I probably annoyed our trail leader Emily by asking lots of different questions, venturing off the trail & just doing my own thing ...But she was very kind & informative & recommended an app to use when mushroom hunting. As usually I just Google image search them but there are so many that look identical.. it's not very useful. All the people in my group were great & varied from young preteens to senior citizens. If you like birding this is a dream of a location, the creek is beautiful, and the building itself is really nice.
