River Bend Venue — Attraction in Upper Paxton Township

River Bend Venue was the PERFECT location for our wedding day! This venue was thought out from the beginning in how they designed their beautiful property. Not only is the natural setting along the river stunning in itself, they have created multiple gorgeous ceremony sites and everything you need to host the full day of events (bridal party prep, ceremony, cocktail hour & reception) all in the same space.

Having the sweet on-site farmhouse to get ready in was wonderful. It is so well set up for my hair and makeup crew with plenty of space for the bridal party. It was also a great bonus to have it as an option for the wedding night for my new husband and I so we didn’t have to travel after a long day of celebration.

The barn itself is beautiful and spacious and I loved seeing and feeling the history in the modernized (air conditioned, bless God! :D) but still original wood and stone. There are clean and well maintained bathrooms both inside and out, which as someone who has both attended and helped coordinate a lot of weddings, is such an overlooked but SO important detail for a venue. All tables and chairs were provided and very nice as well as cocktail tables & linens, a movable bar cart, high chairs, caterers kitchen (with fridge, double sink and separate entrance), ice maker, and more. There was also a plethora of decor items (including several options for an arbor and lovely floral planters) available for our use, which was wonderful to have. They even provided an ice cream freezer for the ice cream we wanted at our cocktail hour! With so many details and so much stress going into planning a wedding, at every turn, I was so impressed and relieved at all that River Bend provided and how they went above and beyond to calm my nerves and make the day extra special. It is a well stocked venue with so many little touches that I was blown away by the experience again and again. I was so impressed by Adderly’s attention to detail, her responsiveness, her preparation, her flexibility, and her help both leading up to and on the wedding day, as well as her phenomenal crew of staff. You’re in great hands with Adderly and her team!

We got married on one of the hottest days of the year (100*!) and were nervous with how our guests would do in the heat. After the fact, not one friend or family member talked about the heat. They all talked about how beautiful the venue was. And it is. I would 100% recommend River Bend Venue without hesitation. My husband and I are SO grateful to have found this gem of a place tucked just along the river in the town I grew up in. I’m so excited to see this place continue to thrive! The MOST beautiful venue ever!! I cannot even begin to express how perfect our wedding day was and it is a huge thanks to Adderly! She went above and beyond when it came to our needs during the planning process. We knew this was a hidden gem and signed the contract THE DAY that we toured. No other venue compared to this one. Right on the water, with multiple ceremony locations to pick from, even an area to have the ceremony inside in case of the rain - and it not be where the reception is like most places. There is a guest house for the girls to get ready in, and for the bride and groom to stay in the night of the wedding! The men have a man cave shed that they can hangout it, play darts, and even play cornhole! This was a newer venue - but they sure knew what they were doing and made the entire weekend feel stress free! Being able to set up Friday and have our rehearsal dinner there meant we got to spend the day of the wedding only getting ready and having some fun. We were also allowed to clean up on Sunday!! We had the whole weekend and it was just perfect! I wish I had more pictures of the barn but only received my sneak peeks so far. I cannot wait to see the success of this venue in the future. You cannot go wrong with this wedding location. The only downside is there are not many places to stay outside of Harrisburg. We blocked out the Halifax Inn, Lykens Lodge, and Adderly's family let us rent 2 of their Airbnb's just 2 miles down the road for our whole bridal party which made for an awesome night before and after party. She also mentioned people are welcome to camp/set up tents at the venue to stay the night. I just cant express my love for the venue and gratitude enough, it was amazing, and the venue was beautiful. My daughter and her new husband got married at River Bend Venue this past weekend. It was truly a magical event. The venue itself is absolutely stunning. It’s everything a girl could dream of at her wedding. The owners thought of everything - down to the baskets in the rooms where we got ready. I needed a safety pin and knew right where to find one! It was such clean and spacious place to host an entire weekend of love and joy. Adderly and Danielle (and I’m sorry I didn’t get every one of the bartenders names because I loved every single one of them!) we’re absolutely amazing. They handled things I never knew we were going to need. Every time I turned around they were there to make the day go smoothly. The officiant wasn’t able to make rehearsal and they helped, it was time to send people down the aisle, they helped, we wanted the bridal party to have drinks ASAP and they delivered, we cried, they cried! I mean seriously?! Does it get any better than that? They became part of our celebration and we will never forget all they did to make the wedding day as perfect as can be. Again, the venue is gorgeous and spacious and it speaks for itself. The price is not obnoxious. But the people are what made this place the best by far!
