We visit annually for the Get the Led Out show and thankfully this year, GTLO finally stopped chopping time off of their performances. We've been visiting since the first year and the show got progressively shorter and shorter. Regardless, they are amazing and we still show up - we were going to start getting upset if things got any shorter though! Thankfully this year's show was about 10 minutes longer than last year's. So, here's the good, the bad and the ugly about this place: the good. It's really nice to be able to sit outside under the stars and see a good band perform. Parking is generally fast but is a steep $10. For a venue in the middle of nowhere, that's a lot of money to park. $5 should be the max. Also, to the guy who takes his job way too seriously, you need to be put in charge of nothing so that nobody gets hurt. The venue itself is presentable, though it is crystal clear once you visit his gas station across the street that the owner is so cheap that he squeaks. His card readers on his gas pumps have been out of service for 7 years. The decks that are on either side of the stage are falling apart and thus are no longer sold, when they could be and likely a mint could be made, but again, cheapness. So be it. The last couple of negatives and I'll finish with positives: The gates open at 6 pm and the show begins at 7:30 pm. For every year that this has taken place dozens of people are still waiting go to through security. Why not open even 30 minutes earlier? Lastly, your concern line-up is great - but it remains unchanged over the last 5 years. Can you get anyone else to join the party? I love the choices that have been made, but maybe a few more would pay for the deck restorations or allow security to open up on time so that people can get to their seats before the band takes the stage? So the good. Great natural amphitheater, professional sound and light, good bar crew, separate beer and win, flows heavy with fair prices. Food vendors are decent, a few make some junk but most give you a fair return on your money. Toilets are porta-johns but they are kept clean and there are ample hand washing stations and hand sanitizer. They just need to improve security. I'd suggest adding an additional lane plus another gate if you're not going to open up earlier. Overall, I still recommend this venue....

Read moreCame here to watch Dirty Deeds (AC/DC tribute band who were awesome), and it was my first visit. The weather was pretty bad with pelting rain for most of the night but it didn't dampen the experience. The amphitheater is an all grass venue with lots of space to setup your own camp chairs. Parking was easy with plenty of staff on hand to guide you into place, security and ID check (for 21+ for alcohol purposes) was very quick. The sound system was excellent with a good range, made the band sound awesome. There were several bars and food trucks available and although I didn't buy anything, the prices were very reasonable. It was a relaxed venue with welcoming and helpful staff. It's also very easy to get to, directly off the interstate. Would definitely come here and watch...
