Meadowbrook Park — Attraction in Urbana

Traveling with my dog (Labor Day weekend), this was a great road trip stop to stretch and enjoy a walk through the park with nicely paved paths. I parked in the Race Street lot and then stayed for an hour, to include: Hickman Wildflower Walk, Wandell Sculpture Garden loop, and back down the Wildflower Walk to the restroom and back to the car. Meadowbrook has great walking trails all around the park, a nice variety of interesting sculptures, lots of wildlife to enjoy from prairie preservation areas good for bird watching to more woodsy parts where you might spot deer to a huge open grass field great for picnics, flying a kite, or just relaxing with a book on a sunny day. The playground is one of the biggest in the area. There's plenty of free parking. Definitely one of the best parks...

A beautiful place for spending time outdoors. Paved walking path perfect for 🏃, 🚴‍♀️, other wheeled exercise, and dog walking. You can see the prairie up close and likely you will see deer along with many birds. The sculptures along the way only enhance the experience.
