Traveling with my dog (Labor Day weekend), this was a great road trip stop to stretch and enjoy a walk through the park with nicely paved paths. I parked in the Race Street lot and then stayed for an hour, to include: Hickman Wildflower Walk, Wandell Sculpture Garden loop, and back down the Wildflower Walk to the restroom and back to the car. Plan more time if you have kids with you (there's a playground) and/or if you want to walk the loop around the...

Meadowbrook has great walking trails all around the park, a nice variety of interesting sculptures, lots of wildlife to enjoy from prairie preservation areas good for bird watching to more woodsy parts where you might spot deer to a huge open grass field great for picnics, flying a kite, or just relaxing with a book on a sunny day. The playground is one of the biggest in the area. There's plenty of free parking. Definitely one of the best parks...

A beautiful place for spending time outdoors. Paved walking path perfect for 🏃, 🚴‍♀️, other wheeled exercise, and dog walking. You can see the prairie up close and likely you will see deer along with many birds. The sculptures along the way only enhance the experience.

At one end of the park is a community garden space and the other is an awesome playground for the kids. The pavilions at both ends are kept clean and give access...

I'm not sure if it's a hidden gem, but we had never heard of Meadowbrook Park before stumbling upon it on a recent visit to Champaign-Urbana. Such a pleasant surprise! Lots of paved paths, beautiful flowers, and sculptures throughout. We didn't experience everything the park has to offer, but there's always next time! #centralillinois #champaign #urbana #illinois #hiddengems

I recently visited my first "sculpture garden." There aren't too many benches, so if you plan to explore it, bring a water bottle along because we couldn't find any other water fountains nearby, except for the park further away. The garden is quite extensive with numerous paths to explore. If you enjoy art or architecture, it's definitely worth visiting due to the variety of sculptures and installations.
