Great trail. You can go out and back or you can add a loop. Great view at the Tower of Utah Lake and SLC valley. Lots of people with dogs on the trail and are allowed to let them off leash. So warning to those who don’t love dogs or have phobias. The Tower at the top is awesome. Trail does have lots of poop bags that people don’t carry out, which is a bummer for the trail. There are several trails that take you can take also. The parking lot has marked spaces and is quite large. Nice bathroom. Drinking fountain and bottle fill up at start of the trail.

It was a really nice hike. It's not very difficult, so it's a good one to start the season off. There was still a lot of snow when we went, but spikes are not necessary. It was a bit muddy in a few places, so be careful. Not a lot of people were in the trail. The view is really nice at the top.

Lots and lots and lots of cross crossing tails, not many are well marked, you’re just supposed to look for little markers to show you the way. Oddly no mention of the actual alien tower anywhere. If you are trying to get there take the main path till you see one jolting off going up at a steep angle and that’s your path. Honestly it’s a beast of a hike and has quite the accent so be ready. Actual tower is on maps here labeled “View Benchmark” but hopefully my request to add the actual tower will...

One of the best kept trails we've ever hiked. Clean water. Sparkling restrooms. Stunning view at the top. Two thumbs up 👍 👍

If you take the far west loop, be sure to walk on the side path next to the part of the road where rocks have been added if you want to lessen your chances of turning your ankle.

The hike probably could be done in about an hour, but we took lots of time for pictures and enjoying...
