If I could rate this a zero star I would. I grew up fishing with very different ethics. My littles kindergarten class took a field trip here, I was appalled! First, they didn't take a moments time to teach them anything about a fish farm or fish, then they pulled them over to this small area for them to "fish" all it consisted of was staff feeding the fish to fool them to come to the area while they had the kids drop and pick up their pole to hook the fish... That being said the fish weren't taking the bite, instead they were being hooked by their bellies due to how they were having the kids fish. Then the adults were expected to de hook the fish, they didn't want us to kill them before pulling the Barb out of them, so trying to manage children and a live fish being ripped apart on a hook (you can imagine how hard they were trying to flip away from us), I'm surprised we didn't get hooked ourselves!! Absolutely appalling. I grew up like any country girl, huntin and fishin. But that, certainly was not how we did it. I wish I could find a way to get this place shut down for in humanely fishing, I certainly plan to take this up with our principal in hopes to stop future classes from attending so children don't take on that dirty habit of how to fish. EDIT: In regards to trout farms reply, they staffed two employees to 100 kindergarteners to fish, that is irresponsible on their part. It is not the employees fault, this is...

We bought 4 tickets for the haunted maze from 6:30-7:30 PM, showed up right at 6:30. Front desk told us to walk straight through the jail, we did. We were walking around part of that maze for nearly 30 minutes and there was only 1 area that had a scary doll, everything else was a normal maze. We walked out the same way we went in because there was no other way out, we tried. One of the employees asked us if we were there for the haunted maze, we said yes, they responded with "it's not open until 7 PM". I showed him the email with the tickets saying 6:30-7:30 PM. He said they were not finished but went to go check to make sure we could walk through.

When he came out he said he turned on some lights, it was getting dark, and that all of the sensors "should be on". He said we walk through the jail and come out through the side of the jail. We walked through the jail and a new door was open, it was locked the first time we walked in. We walked through a bridge that took us to this "scary" person in an electric chair, nothing turned on, stepped everywhere around it to turn on the "sensor", and nothing.

We found the exit pretty quickly, had to turn on the flashlight from our phones to see anything. We were still the only ones that were there for this haunted maze, no employees at the end of it to ask us how it was or anything. We got in our car and left. Very disappointing and wish I got...

⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3.5 stars)

We had a fun day at Cold Springs Trout Farm! The staff was very friendly, and it was surprisingly easy to catch the fish—just toss a bit of fish food near your hook, and you’ll have one in no time. However, if you’re hoping to catch a big one, it can be a challenge, as they seem to have learned how to avoid getting caught.

It was very convenient to have the staff fillet the fish for us, making it easy to take home. Just be careful how many you catch, as you’re required to keep every fish you pull out, and it can add up quickly in cost! Also, when we cooked the fish, we found that it didn’t taste quite like wild-caught trout; it had more of a farmed taste, which was a bit disappointing.

The location is beautiful, and they even have a reception area for business conferences and weddings. In the fall, there’s a Halloween maze that adds to the experience. However, finding the place was a bit of a challenge. You’ll see the sign from the main road, but you have to go down a back alley through several properties until you reach the farm on the right.

Overall, it’s a nice spot for a unique experience, but be prepared for the cost and the taste of...

I’m so grateful to have had this experience! If you have a little ones and you’re really wanting to take your kiddos fishing, I highly suggest trying out cold Springs trout farm in Ogden, Utah! They supply everything from fish food, to poles and offer to fillet the fish that you catch. ##troutfishing##familyactivities##utah##weekends##family

I'll be honest I don't like fish. I don't eat it, I don't like the smell, I'm just not a fan. My kids and husband love fish. For some reason my kids really wanted to catch a fish and eat it. So to make their dreams come true I took them to the trout farm in my hometown. The girl at the counter was super helpful and answered all my somewhat ridiculous questions, like how to take the hook out.. The have several ponds to choose from all were well stocked. The area is clean, quiet and just genuinely a nice place. They made it easy for a total novice like myself. They provide simple poles and a bucket. I thought the price of the fish was reasonable, they also fillet the fish for a small fee, which I gladly paid. My kids had so much fun. They loved the whole process. Despite having to touch the fish and a slightly aggressive duck I had a good time too. My kids and husband said the fish was delicious.
