Fishlake National Forest has always been a favorite get away since I was a young kid. My grandpa uses to take us fishing at Fish Lake and now I spend a lot of time traveling around the mountains looking for cool rocks and finding quiet and serene places within the forest. The National Forest itself is huge and I have not seen even a fraction of all there is to see there, which means there is no end to the spectacular sights, rock formations, creeks, streams, and waterfalls, and bountiful wildlife. It is well worth spending at least a weekend driving around the mountains, fishing, rock climbing, horseback riding, camping, and enjoying one of the greatest nighttime skies in the lower 48. Fishlake National Forest is truly a magical place to me from childhood to present day. I will return again and again, especially considering it is so close to home. Even if it were not, knowing what I know about the place, I'd go out of my way to spend time here, choosing this over any of the...

This has always been a favorite Vacation destination for our family. Dad and Mom would load up the Camper and camp trailer and away we'd go! Dad had an aluminum Grumman canoe. Who'd a thunk that would become a status symbol!! This lake has some epic fishing. The state always keeps it well stocked,as they do all our waterways and such. You also stand a good chance of pulling a Native Brown or other out of there. What a lot of folks are not aware of yet is that the stand of Quaking Aspens native to this area share a common root. This makes it the largest living organism on Planet Earth! It is thus becoming a mandatory outdoor research Lab for Botanist,Arborists ,etc. They are flocking here from all over the globe to see and discover the wonderment and magnificence!!It truly is amazing! For Sight-seeing the landscape and topography really are second-to-none. I am "greasin my wheels" for a trip down there this summer. You might just...

This was a fun place with lots of things to stop and see! There is a visitors center down a ways (it's actually the Indian state park area that's connected a ways down) is really nice and has plently to look at. There are lots of ATV trails as well as some horse trails. The only down fall (which I am not taking a star off for because it was out fault really) was that the trails do not yet all have their markers and so when following them, my family and I actually ended up getting lost. In the end though I was able to call the ranger station and there was a great work with communication for them to come find us and get us back to the visitors center. It was quite the adventurous day and I would reccomend taking some time to visit this place, just always make sure to have your maps and know which way you...

Did you know that the largest Aspen grove in the world is in UTAH?! Because we did NOT! 😱 MEET: PANDO 🌳 🤯 Pando spreads over 106 acres making it the largest organism on Earth. ⚖️ It’s estimated to weigh 13,000,000 lbs making it the heaviest organism in the world. 🍂 Pando is a single living organism made up of over 47,000 trunks & millions of leaves. 🇺🇸 It was also named one of the “40 Wonders Of America” by the U.S. Postal Service in 2006. Utah keeps wowing us with its diverse landscapes & breathtaking beauty. 😍 Would you visit the world’s largest Aspen Grove? 📍Pando | Fishlake National Forest, Utah #utah #fishlakenationalforest #pando #aspentrees #fall #autumn
