Lovely moderate hike… get there early for parking and to avoid lots of people With their dogs. You begin in the trees for the first two miles or so. Beautiful resting place with a bench honoring a young person who passed to soon. You arrive at the ski hill and in June there was beautiful running water from the remaining snow in the mountains. A challenging, steep trail with lots of shade. Several other hikers and bikes on the trail. The initial trail went up 2 miles, then joined with Ambush train, then mid mountain/ hunters trail. There was no definitive end, I just turned around after 5 miles and went back. Ambush and Hunters trails were not heavily trafficked...

First and most important: there are several parking spots. When we were there it was an evening hike, it was out car and one other. Trail is well maintained, pretty foliage, saw lots of birds. The trail itself is firm and sandy, comfortable to walk on. We just took Rob's trail and didn't turn off. There are several...
