Wenona, lovely to have finally seen the farm and some of what you do there; it is a lot of hard work, and I could never do this. I should say that you seemed much younger than what I expected, as seen from some of the news clippings from the newsletters. Stay well and thriving. From the latest newsletter, it seems Chockalog Farm is thriving, keeping Wenona busier than the beekeepers. Take care! Flowers from Chockalog Farm newsletter, Happy day all! This latest newsletter is the best; love the fantastic veggie design on colorful bags and only costing $18; wow, must try to get one; someday. Thanks for sharing the newsletter. Hi Wenona thank you for sharing your love and story of Deanna with us; may she have many more birthdays despite the odds. I read the cattle were out in this week's newsletter. How do you view the cattle when they are out? When are they outside to view? How many cattle do you have on the farm? At times it seems like tit for tat but I am a little HTML page with no viewers; none reads me because I am a lousy blogger. I almost forgot; where is the Circle on Constitution Way in Uxbridge where is this located exactly to visit this Brady person with herbs and such? No matter, thanks for sharing. We took a long walk this weekend and walked up on Chockalog Road to view the farm; dogs barking scared us away. There's not much to see when the store is closed. I need the exercise as I age, I am fat/heaviest. It was a long good walk on Chockalog; we/I am not likely to do it again anytime soon. Keep up the good/hard work. I make a nuisance of myself...
Read moreLove Chockalog Farm - I'm a new to the farm CSA member this year and absolutely loving it. The time spent in the garden to pick the veggies is a moment of zen for me each week. To see all the produce being grown responsibly and thriving makes my heart happy. Knowing that I will be eating high quality produce throughout the week makes me look forward to cooking. The atmosphere at the farm is peaceful and the people are kind - I look forward to visiting every week to pick my veggies and purchase high quality meats, eggs, flowers and other local products from the store.
See the picture for the most recent bouquet I brought home from my last trip. The colors make me smile every time I see the arrangement.
Highly recommend...
Read moreWenona has been SO helpful to me with any question or need that I’ve had in relation to the farm/products. I’ve made the conscious decision to source my meat from a regenerative farm for the health of my own body, my family member’s bodies, the health of the Earth and with deep care and respect for the animals that provide for us in these ways to have vibrant health. I feel so much more connected to my food and I find myself giving thanks to the animals and for the hard work of Wenona and her family as I prepare my meals. Where our food comes from matters. I’ve loved preparing meat stocks and stews from the chickens and beef - the amount of collagen is insane and so so...
