4/7/25 Monday views from pena adobe swing is gorgeous. 15 minutes walk from parking lot. 2/17/25 Monday president day holiday. We just drive by n stopped at Lagoon valley regional park n I was so thrilled to see such beautiful park. Vacaville is booming & hope city of Vacaville or Mayor could add more big trees for shade, more parking lots, more restrooms, jogging trail around reservoir with asphalt, sports complex, summer picnic areas, street lights, make this park more beautiful. Also please don't build too money homes near by to destroy natural beauty of this park.

This is a fair spot to go for a run, with a mix of park road, bike path and trails. Many of the trails are extremely hilly. There is a great gravel loop and a monster hill on the west side of the park if you are looking for workout options. The gravel loop is flat and measures a little over a kilometer. There is also a stretch of paved bike path the runs alongside the loop. The hill is by Hume Grove and offers approx 400m of good climbing for hill repeats.

It's directly off of I-80 so it's a great rest stop if you're traveling: clean restrooms, drinking fountains, shaded picnic tables, and the best part is it was not crowded at all on a Saturday afternoon. Personally I wouldn't make it my day's destination but it's alright for a short visit. The Adobe is cool though and the ducks are cute.

DOG OWNERS BEWARE! There are two regulars, a small man and a rather large woman with two AGGRESSIVE, UNUETERED, male dogs. DO NOT ENTER THE PARK WHILE THEY ARE PRESENT! They do not stop their dogs Blackie and Junior from their aggressive antics, and they themselves will turn aggressive if you try to stop the dogs yourself. I witnessed both owners have a melt down after a guy had to rescue his female dog from Junior. He pulled Junior off his dog BY THE HARNESS! HE DID NOT HARM THE DOG! HE WAS SAVING HIS OWN PUP. And these people, who by the way were previously rooted to their spot, instantly jumped up and started shouting profanities and threatening his and his dogs life.

IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR DOGS SAFTY DO NOT ENTER THE PARK WHILE THEY ARE PRESENT!

You can identify them by their useless shoting of their dogs names. Their dogs are totally untrained. I doubt they even know their names, since they don't even glance in the owners direction when shouted at. Blackie and Junior are both black medium sized dogs.

Otherwise fantastic park....

A great place in Vacaville. Great place for a picnic, walking the dogs, a hike, or just getting some fresh air. It's easy to underestimate some of the trails here knowing how Vacaville isn't exactly known for hiking.

There are restrooms and plenty of parking. Unfortunately it has started to become a lot more crowded on weekends, but still not so bad. Trails are clean and I hope they stay that way. FYI: There is a posted parking fee of $5 per day or $25 for a 6 month pass and I have recently started seeing the park rangers...
