Nice little parking lot (free) next to a large (unfenced) grassy area. Within feet of the grass are stairs to the water, so if you're just stopping to give your road dog some exercise & don't want to wait for him to dry off 🤦🏻 keep an eye on that. Shady trail but we didn't walk it. If your dog is a runner I would be wary of how close the road and, shortly after, the highway are.

Very pretty off leash park, but it isn't fenced. The park is bordered by a fairly busy frontage road next to I-70 and a river, which is dangerous rapids currently (early June). The parking lot is also very small, so if you have an RV park on the frontage road. Well worth the potty stop for the dogs, but be prepared for these limitations.

I really enjoy the off leash option and everyone seems to enjoy the same. Dogs have been very friendly and playful with mine and owners are very responsible. Unsure why the bathrooms are closed and the ports potty is the only option? Water is available for the pups, and refilling my own containers is a bonus while traveling.

I hope this place continues to be well maintained and available for...
