Hi, Danielle and Rose, Well…the dust has settled and I’ve finally managed to sort and store all the wedding décor for the next time. Hopefully not for another 5+ years though because I’m too old to plan another one before then! I can’t begin to thank you and Rose for all the things you did to make Sierra and Steven’s wedding such a special day - especially considering the tremendous challenges we faced due to the weather. Sierra and Steven’s most cherished desire was to have the ceremony itself at the vineyard, even if that meant they would be married in the midst of rain and thunderstorms. Fortunately they were blessed to have an amazing and unexpected break in the weather. A break that lasted long enough for the wedding ceremony to take place at the vineyard and to make it possible for them to have a very tender and intimate “first look” in the place Sierra fell in love with when she first saw your family’s vineyard. They were overjoyed to be able to spend the afternoon capturing the essence and beautiful setting of the vineyard in their before, during, and after ceremony pictures. It just melted their hearts because it was exactly what they wanted! Our family and friends continue to give us amazing feedback about the vineyard’s enchanting setting and the great service you and your team provided in locating an alternate location for the reception since we knew the break in the weather would not last throughout the evening. Even though we would have loved to have the entire event at the vineyard, all of those involved in planning the wedding, and most importantly the bride and groom, couldn’t have been any happier with the guidance and undeniable patience you showed in helping move the reception for the safety and comfort of our guests. An especially big “thank you” and hug to Rose for all the behind the scenes work and details she took care of preparing the reception venue while we were at the ceremony venue. I was very impressed with you and your staff’s expertise and ability to have such a tremendous calming effect during what could have been a very anxious and stressful time. Danielle, from the first day we met you and Rose, it was very noticeable and clear to all of us that your main concern is in doing whatever is necessary to both enhance and ensure the bride and groom have the most unforgettable and memorable experience they could want or hope for. This speaks very highly of your dedication and enthusiasm for what you do and why you do it so well. I truly hope to have an opportunity (or an excuse) to stop by and see you again. I will be sure to share photos with you as soon as they are available but I didn’t want to wait any longer in expressing our gratitude and appreciation for all you did! Once again, thank you ever so much for helping Sierra and Steven, as well as our family and friends, create and experience such fond and unforgettable memories. Take care and give yourself a big hug...
Read moreFor starters, I rated this venue a 1 star because of the following reasons. I booked this venue in January 2019 for a date in May of 2020 with a deposit of $500.00 check that was cashed within a week. Later in March, we met up to finalize, and the manager (, Danielle,) had promised that date to another couple. As I questioned her about it, I had to remind her that I had given a deposit to hold the date back in January. After wards, she prompted to call the other couple to inform them of her mistake i.e. UNPROFESSIONAL. On September 4th, I called to cancel my reservation of the venue because we had decided to do a remote wedding; no cause from Prairie Hills Vineyard (PHV). Upon cancellation, there is a form to sign, which I requested the manager to email me so I could sign and mail back. I never received anything so I called back 4 more times up to October 17th requesting it and was promised that she would send it, but never did; basically, this document guarantees a refund if the venue was booked. UNPROFESSIONAL On October 18th, I called back to the manager and was informed she had booked the venue and I should be receiving a partial refund the following week. I waited until November 13th to call back because I still had not received it. After 5 more phone calls I finally received a check on November 21st; however, it was missing $437.00. By the contract, I was guaranteed 75% of $1,250.00 plus the other $250.00 I had put down just to round it to $1,500.00 total, yet only got a check for $750.00; the total amount should have been $1,187.50. UNPROFESSIONAL On November 22nd, I called the manager of PHV to discuss the missing $437.50. Without trying to get too frustrated around the holidays and busy times, I waited until December 3rd to call back because I hadn’t received the remaining amount. After 4 more phone calls straight to voicemail, I finally received a check for $375.00 on December 9th. Of course, when I had spoke to their manager on November 22nd, I asked her if she knew how much I should be getting back total, she still decided to cut it short by $62.50. UNPROFESSIONAL Lastly, during the last 12 months of working with PHV, I received zero phone calls, with about half of my phone calls going to voicemail. There is no doubt that this venue is gorgeous, but it is managed by a woman that doesn’t understand how to manage a facility. There was so much unprofessional-ism and lack of communication, that I am happy I decided not to give them any more money...
Read moreWe recently attended a wedding reception at this beautiful venue. I had heard so much about how stunning the place is—especially the outdoor area—and was really looking forward to taking lots of sunny, vibrant photos. Unfortunately, it rained the entire day of the event. At first, I was disappointed. But as the rain lightened, we stepped outside—and it was magical. Words truly can’t capture how beautiful it looked.
The wooden cottages gave the surroundings a cozy, aesthetic charm. We took couple and group photos in the soft drizzle, and walking hand in hand with a loved one through that serene, rain-kissed setting brought a unique sense of peace and joy.
The outdoor decor was so beautifully done, creating a romantic ambiance that made it hard to even think about going indoors. But the indoor area was just as lovely—spacious and tastefully decorated. The white and pastel floral arrangements added a calm, elegant touch to the entire atmosphere.
There was a well-appointed bridal suite for the bride to get ready or relax, and even the women’s restroom had self-care items available—something I found to be a thoughtful detail.
The food was delicious! The menu included polao, chicken roast, lamb, vegetable salad, egg curry, mint lemonade, and an assortment of sweets like rasgulla, kalojam, and jilapi.
The entire event embraced a cultural theme, and everything—from the setting to the ambiance—made it a truly beautiful day. The bride and groom both looked absolutely stunning. I send them my heartfelt best wishes for a joyful...
