Cooley Bay Winery & Brewery — Attraction in Van Alstyne

What a nice place! The decor is what I would called eclectic with different sitting areas, soft chairs, more dining type chairs, high back and low back. Round tables, square table, average height and lower height. Fun artwork, very inviting. We arrived shortly after opening on a Thursday, we had the place to ourselves and good conversation with the owner. He was friendly and informative. We were there about an hour and half just enjoying the wine and the food.

My husband had their Cooley wine and I had the iced peach wine (I think that’s what it was called. Frozen like a margarita). We also had a flight with some of the fruit wines, all were very good. The Butter Board is just a neat way to have some good warm bread and a variety of butters, a definite win. We also had the small charcuterie board with a nice selection of cheese, meats, fruit, nuts and more. Will definitely be back in October when his cider...

Loved the wines! Tasted everything on the menu for $10. It was hard to make purchase decisions because I wanted everything. Most of the menu is sweet wines so if you THINK you don't like wines because they are bitter or taste nasty STOP IN ANYWAY and give this place a shot. You won't regret it.
