Not recommended. This is a couple offering this service/experience. The guy is nice and has really good attitude but her... Jeez! They say it is his family property of decades and that he grew up in there, and she, well she is lucky she get to work at her husband's backyard and still she is like: super mad for no apparent reason. Totally unprofessional. She deployed a totalitarian attitude, even when she might do it because she is bringing strangers to their house. It is entirely their decision. This is supposed to be an adventure, we are buying an amusement time. You can educate but then get mad and super rude when asked any questions? Honestly, we left the place thinking: probably she is special (you know, like bipolar or something or on meds) We were just amazed. This was supposed to be adventure and was on me so, I felt the weight of the situation, but I tried to keep myself together as much as possible to safe whatever left of the experience in front of my kiddo. When you put people at risk, there's a sense of thrust that has to be build and she totally fell specially with me, when I am a mother paying for a risky adventure. I couldn't enjoy nor finished any challenge. I am physically and mentally but she really worked on putting me down. There's something off with her attitude. She even gave "goodies" to the ones that "made it" and sarcastically said: "the rest don't get anything" as another negging gest I just wanted to get out of there. Btw, she wants goers to do her job by taking all the equipment back to it's place, as if you were on a military camp (when paying hundreds). She got pretty mad about it. It's the way she commands for it. Out of visitors bringing back the equipment, and giving a life-lesson we don't need because I am civilian of law and order, and teach my kid daily and his doing wonderfully; I don't think it's ok, specially with PPT equipment which have and should be handled by them, and them only. You know, if she's so controlling of anything happening in her house/business, should think twice in any harm and damage to these gears. Down bellow comes her reply. As I noticed she did with previous reviews. I didn't take it slightly as I am also a woman and know how hormones play us. I think she's sort of set to change the world, the problem is: selectively mistreating customers that put their trust on them for a good experience and turned it into a nightmare. You pay to get scold...
Read moreUnforgettable, life changing experiences await you at Roca Norte — don’t wait any longer and make sure to check this place off your bucket list. I participated in their guided climbing and their sports rock climbing course, and it was incredible.
For guided climbing, Kenneth and Marianela made sure our group felt comfortable in their space and understood what we were getting into, after which Kenneth and Pedro top rope belayed us and were our #1 cheerleaders and kept us engaged the whole time. The routes were very fun and the view at the top was stunning, not to mention the great pictures we caught.
On their sports rock climbing course, Kenneth and Marianela walked me through the basics in great detail and made me practice over and over and over (and over) at ground level before they let me lead climb — putting safety first and foremost. What’s more, they are great teachers that really want you to understand what you’re doing and realize that climbing is a sport where you are always learning. Highly recommend taking this course with them if you’re interested in lead climbing, you couldn’t ask for a better pair of...
Read moreThis is set up in a private home. Visitors are met with a dual sense of welcome as customers for a business and selectiveness as guests for a home. Marialena expects guests to have watched all instructional materials and read details guides beforehand. This approach, while ensuring guests are ready for the experience, also convey a sense of conditional welcome.
Response to my climbing mistakes is brief, emphasizing the necessity for a sit-down discussion. The 2 hour guided climbing ended earlier after I tried the last rope. It became clear that, with the allocated time, there could have been an opportunity for a more structured approach. Each climb could come with lessons on techniques and strategies. This approach would not only enrich the climbing session but also leave us with things that extend beyond the one time experience, aligning more closely with my initial expectations of a learning opportunity.
For those considering a visit, transportation logistics should be a consideration, especially if...
