Suprisingly our best stop on Route 66! We have traveled quite a bit this place blew my mind. The best part was how hands on everything was for the kids. We got a humvee ride over to the famous pie joint (ugly crust pies). They also feature a Doc Hudson Car. There is so much history put into this little corner and it was so refreshing to enjoy some of this hands on. Our kids even got to get up inside a AM General Tractor trailer. He also turned it on so they could see how it ran. The kids also got to take a ride on a small cart train that the curator built. The curator loves his community and I can tell he loves sharing the towns great jewels. We will return. All of this was FREE they do have a small donations box’s when you can donate at...

Thanks to them we carried back to our country a wonderful image of America, Texas and Vega and an...

Greg, the guy running the museum that day was super friendly and gave us loads of helpful tips about the rest of our Route 66 trip to come. Plus, he told us about Mama Jo who has a bakery just up the road. The actual museum is also really cool, and huge too, so dense with info and history of the town and region. There's a guest book and maps to drop pins in on where you're visiting from. The Model T in the back was also awesome to have...
