This place was amazing, we saw lot of armadillos and rabbits during the night, during the day we saw a lot of alligators and deers. The place was beautiful the canopy towel was beautiful, the ranger that was at the entrance was amazing and helped us every time we had questions. The camping amenities where clean every time we used them, we thought that there would be too much mosquitoes but there weren't that much. Sadly our tent got flooded the second night because our tent site had little unlevel spots and our tent wasn't the best for the heavy rain so have in mind if you are going to camp during bad weather. Even with bad weather we decided to stay a fourth night because the place is amazing.

I stopped here on a sunny day in mid November and it was wonderful. Very large park that has animal viewing areas along with plenty of places to park along the road. If you want to see a gator it's pretty easy, there are small pull of areas (with warning signs) that allow you look out onto the water and see the gators in or around the water. Plenty of birds flying around and other animals if you keep your eyes open.

Great park for wildlife. We were going to ride our ebikes and there is plenty of road to ride. The gators were out when we rode through. The tower and bird walk were still closed from Ian so we will go back when those reopen.

Myakka SP is a great park to visit for a day or plan on spending a week. There is tons of stuff to do. Hiking and backpacking approximately 40 miles of Backcountry hiking trails, biking over 200 hundred miles of dirt roads, camping in the established campgrounds. Take a ride out on the lake or even a leisure canoe trip down the Myakka river. The possibilities are endless. The rangers are always the best and very accommodating. They are knowledgeable about the park and very helpful...
