This one of two lesser-known Ventura Mission-related landmarks that I'm aware of. It was built in the early 1800s and is near the landmark for a small church that was operated by the Mission in the 1800s and is now paved over by HWY 33. It too can be found off Ventura Road and it is called the Santa Gertrudis Asistencia and is also on Google Maps.

I loved our visit to the old mission aqueduct. It may not be a whole lot to see nowadays, but using your imagination it’s amazing think of what this place must have looked like when it was built. It’s awesome to see that the monks had the engineering prowess to built this. Back in the day this must have been pretty impressive.
