Wege Foundation Natural Area — Attraction in Vergennes Township

My beloved Cherry Creek Ranch where I grew up. Dad and I were always planting trees, flowers, autumn olive , the ponds, asparagus and a 2 acre raspberry patch! Dad said your land must pay your taxes! Every summer families came and picked berries!. Plus with the strong help of my horse Scar we built the cabin by the pond in 1962. So enjoyed the Lowell 4H fair and one year Scar and I got a blue ribbon my Dad was beaming with pride. It's so special to me to have families come enjoy our paradise on a hot muggy summer day, jumping in the fall leaves, skiing in a full moon and the first breathe of spring with the trillium.
