The park itself is a hidden gem. The issue as always is people show up and ruin it. Most of the time, the park is just fine with the regulars walking their dog, fishing etc. The issue is every once in a while the ghetto rats show up and get loud, obnoxious, smoke weed...let their unsupervised kids swim when the beach is closed and no lifeguard is on etc. Last time I was their with my sons running our hobby grade remote controlled boats. Someone's little "darling" thought it would be funny to throw rocks at our boats. These things START at $600 and take a lot of work to complete. The last thing I want is some kid trying to sink one by whipping rocks at it! I shouted over to the sweet boy to knock it off. He finally did. Water is very cold, nothing anyone can control, and not going to lie, some of the swimming rules are kinda of different and odd, than what I’ve seen from other places. You also can only go about 3 feet deep here, so swimming area isn’t large. But I personally would not say the water is the best quality of this place, it’s the nearby cliff sides that provide a beautiful view of the valley, and the local easy access to the Hop River State Park Trail. The trails and hiking ability is insanely incredible, and the amount one can explore here is tremendous. Valley Falls is well taken care of, and a valued place in the community. It’s beautiful and even...
