Since my review on Booking.com was removed or something I am unable to see it or find it, I decided to do a post here too. For the sole purpose of informing people about what they are getting into. Had I read an honest review about this place I probably wouldn't have gone. It's not our cup of tea obviously. Very Hippie, Guru vibe. This old house sits at the end of a gravel drive way. The property is not well kept, it's lived on and is these people's home and property, so... They grow their own food and have many farm animals, some roam free as you can see on the pictures. We were asked to remove our shoes upon entering and it definitely wasn't for cleanliness purposes. The house was not kept very well either. Dust, cobwebs and pet hair were very visible. The furniture in the common area was all covered in towels and blankets, I'm assuming because of the pet hair. The host were very nice people. The add on Booking.com did not mention shared bathroom or the presence of a cat. I have allergies to cats and I was told the car isn't allowed down stairs, as the cat proceeded to follow us down stairs and into the room we were staying. The chemical free hot tub was relaxing but smelt very musty. The whole house smelt musty as well. There was mention of breakfast option on the ad but there was not mention or offer of it while there. The kitchen was dirty and not sure I would have taken up the offer even so. I borrowed a jar from the kitchen to get some ice and the jar was dirty. Of course late at night I couldn't see this and wasn't till the morning I realized how dirty it was and got grossed out. I was able to wash out the gunk so, I am not sure why it was so dirty if it was easily washable. The first night we were kept awake by lost or sick cow mooing it's head off in the field, gates clanging and something scratching against the wall outside. All noises of a farm I know. The house was so hot though, we couldn't have the windows closed to stop the sound. Wifi was only available upstairs in the common area, so that was a bother. Like I said, had I read an honest review, I wouldn't have book Oasis in Nature. Mark and Jennifer were nice people. Mark claims healing powers through his hand. I don't believe in that stuff and there were mother Mary, Jesus statues, Buddha and other weird statues around, but this is their home and can decorate however they want. :) Like I said, not fun is, so just wanted others...
Read moreWhen I meet someone & bring them in to my life as a friend, I do so on the premise of my energies 1st impression of that person's energy. I am uniquely adept to sensing the level of that persons integrity and honesty that they adhere to in themselves, of which Mark reflects strongly outward as well. Mark is 'old fashioned honest', a rare quality that he gives freely to anyone. THis type of character is interwoven into his work & lifestyle just as much and is reliable in this aspect in every sense of the word. His 'work' is a Healer, as he channels Source Energy. I reached out to him, as I had been in the process of looking inward, examining the source of emotional & spiritual pain, learning and growing to the best of my ability. But with little resource I had come to an impasse. I knew Mark was a Healer, and his immediate impression he felt led directly to a past trauma I had deeply buried. I would tell him my ailments and he would feel the stored emotional trauma. Ultimately, with Marks Guidance and channeled Energetic Healing from Source, I am tangibly pursuing my Passion Projects, and am re-acquainted with my Divine Potential, and yes, the physical ailments have indeed abated, if not...
Read moreMark and Jennifer are some of the most kind people you will encounter in life. Though Mark can come across off putting at first, he truly has a kind and compassionate heart and uses his energy work to heal those who are open to receiving. Jennifer is pure hearted and will be there for you to chat or if you need anything. Their farm home is nestled in the woods outside of Buxton. They have many animals including chickens, ducks, geese, goats, Frank the cat, Ruby the dog and more. This is truly the farm life that most don’t understand or are willing to have ourselves however if you lean into the uncomfortable you’ll truly find how precious of a gem this Oasis in Nature can be. I love their camp site by the pond and would recommend it compared to any state parks. There can be road noise however I found it drowned out by the sounds of nature. I work with Mark and Jennifer for healing my trauma and learning about my past lives. Sometimes the work we do can go past my understanding of this world however it truly has helped grow. I’ll be forever grateful for finding such a place in this world and even more thankful...
