The museum portion of this is amazing. Artifacts from the vessel, a thorough description of the workings of the boat. I would recommend this for anyone in the area. I love that this is part of the National Park Service and gives details without the skew of one side of the war between the states.

This was an amazing thing to see! Even in the state that it's in, it's easy to see to see the capabilities. The only downside was not being able to see what was in the museum because it was closed before 3 PM Wednesday before Thanksgiving. But that's OK, it'll just mean I have to come back and...

The ship is being cleaned.... DURING THE MONTH OF MAY???? We were definitely sad that we wouldn't be going to the museum, seeing the ship OR picnicking in the park. This is also the only place to picnic or sit down in the entire place. Very disappointing. Wouldn't January be a more...
