This is my favorite local park for running. I participate in half-marathons regularly, so the quest for a place to run long distances can prove elusive in a place like Victorville. I have had bad experiences running through some of our neighborhoods. The sidewalk running through the park, and around it's perimeter, has proven to be a safe bet for me. It's also really cool that the park seems to attract a lot of families and other people interested in playing basketball, or walking around the park. This feels like a really solid community spot. I have never felt uncomfortable or unsafe while hanging out here. There are no stray dogs around, and probably equally importantly there doesn't seem to be much presence of vagrancy or drug use, which I know has soured a lot of people on some of the other parks and facilities in the High Desert. Read moreSunset Ridge Park is quite capricious.This park is green and welcoming. Victorville was the perfect respite to a long drive and we took a break to sit on the grass and sip Starbucks libations. The surroundings were tidy.
Tennis, baseball and basketball courts were in great condition and in close proximity to the fire station. In the mood for a walk? There is a nice walking/running path here under a mile in length.
