My husband and I got married at Folksong Farm on 9/14/24. It’s hard to believe almost 1 year has passed since the best day of our lives (life sure flies after you get married). The moment my Fiancé (now Husband) and I walked into the Folksong Farm Barn and met Shelly (the owner), we looked at each other and smiled, knowing this was the one, without even touring other venues. Shelly gave us a history of the barn, and you can feel and see the beautiful history in every inch of the barn. Folksong Farm is not your typical wedding barn, but so much more! You will feel like home. Shelly took the time to get to know us as a couple- we had many text conversations, phone calls and visits to the barn where she gave us suggestions and listened to what we wanted, to help make our day perfect. She even asked how we were feeling at different processes throughout planning and helped guide us through, making sure we took in every step of the process while having fun. Shelly helped create such a calmness for us both through planning and on our wedding day- she truly is the kindest person you will ever meet! She really brings out your personality as a couple in all the suggestions she gives, from layout to decor, etc. No need to go off site for photos- the photo opportunities at the barn are breathtaking! The florals are to die for! And the team… is incredible! They are so helpful and respectful, and have your back for whatever you need. Our wedding guests highly complimented the beauty of the barn, the florals, and staff. Shelly helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect and made our wedding dreams come true! We plan to visit and come back often, as Folksong Farm has such a special place...

Shelly and her team were incredible. She was the only venue vendor who made our site visit feel like more than a quick walk through - we were more than just a number. She told us about the awesome history of the barn and took her time showing us the ins and outs of the grounds. She also had a lot of decor for us to use, so my table centerpieces (outside of flowers in mason jars) were borrowed from her. The grounds and outdoor spaces were very well taken care of and the flowers surrounding the barn were gorgeous. The barn has been reinforced in recent years via the amish and it is beautiful. We had a mid- July wedding, and even with the heat, because the barn is built into the side of a hill, it was noticeably cool. The grooms quarters is downstairs in the basement, and the bridal quarters is in a beautiful detached remodeled chicken coop (and has an AC unit). Shelly allowed us to come in on Friday and we didn't have to be fully out until Sunday night whereas most venues you have to be out the night of the wedding.
