Pawsome Inn — Attraction in Village of Vernon

For years I boarded my Australian Cattle Dog when the kennel was Pek In Kennels. My dog has anxiety so I was happy to learn the new owner was planning to reopen the kennel, under the new name of Pawsome Inn, so my dog would be able to stay at a place where she was familiar. Our first stay was a long one-for 8 days. The owner was very welcoming and took the time to talk with me about my dog and her unique cattle-dog personality. She had me walk my dog to her kennel. I was impressed by how clean the kennels were, and was pleasantly surprised to hear calming music being played in the kennel, and a big cozy bed waiting for her. It was nice to receive updates throughout the week. When we picked up my dog she was clean and happy. She had very little food left, which was a good sign that she had been eating.

Since that stay we’ve taken her back two times and each time has gone as well as the first. During the last stay they wanted to take her outside so I reluctantly said yes, as I wasn’t sure how she would respond once outside. She did great and they had no problems getting her back into her kennel.

We have been taking our dog to Pawsome Inn for over a year now and it is probably one of his favorite places in the world. Here is why we love them: • Our dog is high energy and social. Being placed in a group with dogs at the same level as him is a great way for him to get some exercise and socialization • Unlike a lot of the other daycares near us, Pawsome Inn has large outdoor spaces for the dogs to run around and explore • We love getting the report card at the end of the day. It's so wholesome seeing our boy having such a fun day with his friends • The staff are welcoming and always seem eager to spend the day with their clients ;) • We have boarded our dog at Pawsome Inn several times and he loves it. They take his bed, toys food and treats and really make the kennel feel like home for him. • Our dog is easy to read and it's obvious that he loves Pawsome Inn. As soon as he realizes where we are heading, he whines, jumps all over the back seat and all patience training goes out the window because he is so eager to get to daycare and play with his friends. We have never boarded a dog before - so we were so nervous to leave our pup (Mable). We could not be more pleased with everything about Pawsome Inn! The staff texted updates and photos with a cute report card. Mable had such a great time playing with the other dogs and we were so happy that she gained so much confidence with other pups. The staff takes precautions introducing the dogs and keeps a good watch on their behavior in order to pick and choose who gets to play together. That is greatly appreciated. We get so nervous with other dogs and the whole introduction, but know socialization is so important. The customer service at Pawsome Inn is just fantastic! They actually get to know you and your furry family members here. We just picked Mable up and she is exhausted and smells amazing from her bath!
