I feel like there was a lot to do here, but it's definitely a money grab. For 2 adults we spent $40 on tickets to get in, on top of food and other things there. We got loaded taters and fried oreos, that was nearly $30, and then a lemonade was like $9. We also did the gemstone mining but it didn't feel worth it. I wanted to do the motherlode which was $30 and came with gemstones and fossils. The stand helper recommended we get 2 emerald packs at $15 each , and that they'd have more gemstones and be worth the money. We either didn't get good buckets, or the entire thing just wasn't worth it to me. I feel like most of the gemstones we got were extremely tiny, and there was a lot of quartz and generally undesirable pieces. The only other thing I want to complain about is the corn maze. We initially chose the medium maze and we were in that for at least an hour because it wasn't cut properly and there was no actual way to get to the exit. I know this for a fact because I confirmed it with one of the maze attendees after we decided to leave thru the entrance. We got a map and literally tracked our steps and realized they didn't cut part of the maze so you couldn't get to the next path and you were stuck wandering around. We ran into several confused people who had the same conclusion as us, and it was really disheartening. When we chose to leave and ask the attendee he said that they did have a mis-cut with that maze so the exit was not able to be reached. We then attempted to do the hard maze, and that one was also not cut according to the map so we chose to leave that one as well instead of wandering for who knows how long. I know the point of a corn maze is to get lost for a little bit, but finding the end is the best part. So not being able to access the end of the maze seems like a scam to make you get tired just so you can spend money on food and drinks. If you go on a busy day like Saturday or Sunday, be prepared to stand in lines for a long portion of time. They have 2 food concessions and 1 lemonade place and both had extremely long lines. There was also lines for the rides and other activities, which was to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were taking our 2 year old grandchild. It has been a few years since we have been there. Big changes for sure. We were used to going in the store first, we did and we were walking around. We thought we would find out how much a couple of the activities would be for him. Thats when noticed the wrist bands. We found the admissons building. Thats when we found out he was free being only 2. But we were gonna have to pay 48.00 for the 4 of us just to walk around and for him to ride the train.(maybe..if he would) and check out the animals . Well we decided that was a little steep. So walking back to the car we were talking. I said well we were gonna let him pick out a pumpkin, lets just go back into the store get him a shirt, snack and pumpkin. Well little did I know you aren't ALLOWED to purchase anything unless you pay the admission fee. We were walking to let him pick a pumpkin when the RUDEST woman ever was waving her arms asking if we had bands, as soon as we said no, she stated you need to go purchase them. Tried to state to her we just wanted to buy a pumpkin and a couple things from store. She wasnt having that, "you can't have access to the farm unless you pay" So I have pay you $12.00 a person to purchase items from you. Not hardly! Also, Why not have a reduced rate for parents or grandparents that are just there with...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIf youāre thinking about going to the tulip festival, donāt bother. Itās one tiny field of flowers and they sell tickets for times that the farm is not open. My mother and I tried to go Easter morning and the website let us purchase tickets for a 10 am entry time. When we arrived, not a soul was at the farm. There is no phone number to call so I attempted to message their Facebook page because that is the only way to contact them, and finally an HOUR later they replied that they would not open until 1 pm. We drove in from out of town to go pick tulips and couldnāt stay, so they told us they would refund the tickets and despite repeated attempts to contact them about a refund, it was never issued. They are uncommunicative and not worth trying to bother with. If youād like to pick tulips (or do pretty much anything else) you should find another spot. Iād give them 0...
