The road in keeps this from getting 5 stars. Maybe that's why it should get 5 stars. We drove in with our Honda CRV which had good clearance despite some real crummy sections that will need some skill to navigate. We took this trailhead to China Wash, 6 mile r/t, just shy of 900' gain. No other hikers, a handful of mountain bikers on 4/24/20. Beautiful trail, beautiful views. Wildflowers such as the Paintbrush and Globemallow are out. The cacti are just starting to pop with some Claret Cups first out of the chute.

You have to drive down a washboarding gravel road, and then a long expanse of dirt road with sharp rocks all over it. When you finally get to the trailhead, there is really nothing remarkable about it. But It was pretty in the area and quiet..

A pretty cool trail along the rim of a desert canyon has some nice views. Pales in comparison to Zion just up the road, but you can MTN bike here. Do the loop with Gould's rim and the Jem trail for a 5 star ride.

This is an nice hiking area. You can either hike the room trail which is fairly easy going and with some nice views and pretty cactus in Spring. Or you can hike the canal trail which involves an steep and slightly scary descent but then is an nice walk just...
