Riding through the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel on a motorcycle is an unforgettable experience! The sense of freedom as you cruise across the expansive waters with the wind in your face is incredible. The bridge and tunnel combination offers a truly unique ride, with panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay that are simply stunning.

As you cross over the bridge, the wide-open horizon and the sound of the water below create a truly serene atmosphere. The tunnels add a fun, thrilling twist to the ride, as you go underwater and emerge on the other side—it's a surreal experience!

The road itself is smooth and well-maintained, and the entire route feels safe and enjoyable. It's a perfect blend of adventure, scenic beauty, and engineering marvel. If you're a motorcycle enthusiast, this is a ride you absolutely can't miss—it's one for the...

Following the GPS, we found ourselves approaching the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel. Excited for the scenic drive, we planned to utilize the read-plate payment option. Unfortunately, after pulling up to the tollbooth, we discovered they don't accept it. Whoops!

A quick U-turn later, we opted for cash payment. While the $21 toll price tag did sting a bit, the breathtaking views quickly made up for it.

The calm expanse of the Chesapeake Bay and the unique experience of driving through the tunnel were definite highlights. The kids, in particular, were wide-eyed with excitement as we navigated the underwater portion.

Overall, despite the initial payment hiccup, the CBBT offered a beautiful and memorable experience. Just be sure to come prepared with cash or the appropriate transponder to avoid any...

Well what can you say about the CBBT. Beautiful well loved place. If your scared of bridges. Get someone to drive you across just once. This is a beautiful ride of the Chesapeake Bay especially at sunrise or sunset. Tunnels are not the scary. And don’t worry. If your out of town you may slow down. Us Virginians won’t get to mad. But just remember the speed limit is 55. But this one heck of a ride. Summers can get congested going into the tunnels. Tunnels are two way traffic keep that in mind. So yes there is a height restriction. Also there can be wind restrictions also. So plan this trip of your in a bigger vehicle. There are bathrooms on both ends. But the rest area is on the Eastern Shore side. Tolls tolls tolls. Have a Ezpass. Or you’ll be paying out of...
