This is my favorite Virginia Beach park. Set off Northampton Blvd and easy to miss, finding it is worth the effort. Easy access to boat launches with ramps and docks are nearby. Also a large sheltered picnic area and clean restrooms are right behind the parking lot. A paved path to a playground for kids also lead to unpaved trails that are wide and clean. These paths lead access to docks for fishing and sitting. The trails are easy and wind throughout the forrest. At a slow pace, you can hike the trail close to an hour. Read moreWe grabbed breakfast at the Piggly Wiggly then stopped by the park to have a quick little picnic. The sun was out, the weather was nice. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves people watching. Folks came out with their fishing poles and kiddos and a good time was had by all. In my opinion only. I didn't conduct any research. I only saw smiles and a few folks catching a nod. Looked like fun to me. As we walked and absorbed the atmosphere. We noticed that you can rent kayaks there. Super cool right? That's a next time thing. Read moreThis was the first trail I’ve gone to while living here and it did not disappoint! I came specifically for my dog to get some exercise and be outdoors away from cars and I could tell he was having a blast. Really clean, very beautiful to look at, calming, and lots of trails for you to walk around with a great view of the water. The only thing I found was kind of a struggle personally, was that we couldn’t find our way out because there weren’t any signs as to what trail you were going up but we made it eventually so that’s what matters!
