Cherrystone Beach — Attraction in Virginia

Price seems high until you factor in ALL the freebies and activities that are available to children, then it becomes a bargain! Laundromat clean, wash $1.75, dry 25 cents (cost me 75 cents to fully dry a double load). Didn't go into cafe or general store, but family members very pleased with services offered. Some sites tight, but not unreasonably so. Sites for larger RVs roomy. Very well maintained campground. Clean pools (adult only pool not open, which was a shame). Might not be the best place for singles or adult only families.. but can't be beat as a vacation spot with children!! I see why families return...

At first it's overwhelming how crowded the campsite is, but then you get used to it and feel a sense of community. Escaping into Cape Charles for a bite to eat and some ice cream really makes you feel like a tourist. The big negative is the dumping station. It just needed some more gravel or something. ...

Nice place. I was upset by the amount of political flags and signs by people. .I belie ve we go on vacation to get away from this type stress and pressure to relax an have fun. All of these flags and signs cause more upset. I think they should ban political signs...
