Had such a fantastic time! We were there to celebrate a friend's birthday and had a private tour and tasting scheduled. We had our own private room and personal 'guide' while we were there. This included tasting 15 wines, paired with some light snacks and, of course, a tour of the facility. Our guide was Anne, and she was AMAZING! Very knowledgeable on the wines we tasted and Ingleside's history. Anne was friendly and engaging and didn't push us through the tasting like some places do. The winery itself was very relaxing and peaceful. Some wineries have gotten to be too commercialized, where you serve yourself and really don't get to talk to anyone who works there. Read moreAs we drove home from the Tides Inn along the Northern Neck we did tastings at several vineyards and saw some other sites. Most we weren't impressed with but were pleasantly surprised by Ingleside. We bought several bottles and look forward to stopping back again and getting a tour. (We were too late to get one that day). Also, it is charming and would be fun to come and bring some cheese and sit down and have some of their wine in the court yard. Read moreVery casual. We purchased tickets for a Sunday ahead of time and we received a glass of wine with a soup and some bread. Nice size glass of wine that was really good. Atmosphere was great. Had a really good musician playing, lots of food selections, and people seemed to meetup there and grab a table with bringing their own appetizers as well. We had a really nice time.
