We really loved this park! There are actually several lakes, not just one — peaceful, scenic, and well maintained. We saw quite a few people fishing, and it looks like there's plenty of fish in the water. We even spotted a turtle — such a fun surprise for the kids! The lakes are clean and calm, perfect for relaxing with children. Restrooms and changing areas were in great shape — clean and convenient. What stood out most was the lifeguard team. While our kids were in the water, a lifeguard was always nearby and watching attentively. Even when our daughter was just sitting at the edge with her feet in the water, the guard stayed alert from the tower, keeping an eye on her. That level of attention was impressive. Big thanks to the lifeguards! I know many of them are volunteers or just starting out, but they take their job seriously. We felt safe and had a great time. Highly recommended for families!

Great park for a hike! Lots of friendly people scattered about some awesome trails set up for different intensities. Great place to take your hounds! No off leash area but they won't care. I have not been to the swim area during the summer but it looks nice. Nice little lake and picnic tables. So if ya run trails or need to burn some energy off. Leash up the hound, pack some water and hit that fire trail!

This is a great park with lots of things to do. There’s a large lake that you can fish in or walk along the edge. There’s also a beach and lifeguard for swimmers. Several trails throughout the park are great for walks, and there’s a playground for people with small children.

Looked like a decent place to trout fish. I heard about some big trout being caught in the middle lake when they had stocked it last. I went on a day when the trout were not biting good at all for everyone I saw there. Just one of those days. A guy I talked to said the upper lake is really deep in spots but could not verify. The area was fairly clean but noticed some water pollution in spots. There are about 3 mountain springs that fill the upper end and spills over to the middle lake. There was a lot of algae and weeds growing around the lake but a local said it isn't normally like that. Fish were rising in the upper lake but we're too far out to identify. An overall nice park with a trail wrapping around the entire upper lake making bank...

I planned a road trip to this part of the state and included this park as a must-do I was not disappointed. The trail I selected to walk was beautiful and well marked. I chose the Hollow Trail and really enjoyed it.Afterward I changed into my swimsuit and took a nice refreshing dip in the lake.So refreshing! Also it was a bonus to not get chlorine or salt in my eyes and hair like at a pool or ocean.Just good mountain water! Don't let the brown color deter you, that water is clean and refreshing. Also they do have lifeguards when the beach is open. They also have a stocked trout pond.Maps of the park are available which includes the trails . Definitely will make the trip from...
