Rural Retreat Lake — Attraction in Virginia

This was a beautiful park. Easy to get to off of the highway. Pulled the RVN and watch the sunrise over the Lake by the fishing area. Hang out with my dog and puppies for a little while and took a walk around the Lake before heading over to this National Park on the other side of the highway. Definitely recommended place to come check out. It was memorial weekend and most of the spots were full but I was still able to pull in my RV and trailer for a few hours to check out the sunrise and enjoy the Lake you can also go fishing there is a fishing dock grounds...

Rates are fair for this area. The bath house could use some updating and general cleaning. Plenty of bank fishing spots around the lake. The only downside to our trip was at the pool the male lifeguard instead of actually doing his job that he gets paid to do and watching the kids decided to horseplay in the pool with his buddies almost hitting a little 3 year old girl.
