Lake Waconia Regional Park — Attraction in Waconia

Carver County or Waconia need to do a much better job of keeping the beach clean. Including the picnic tables which are swarmed by bees because of spilled food. If employees are hired to clean the beach (as I have seen them doing) it would take 10 minutes for them to check picnic tables and wipe them off with some bleach water and help people who are allergic to stings have a better chance of enjoying Waconia beach. This is a great place to come beach the boat and go for a quick hike across this small island on a well maintained path with variable elevation. There are also picnic tables and Porter potties available.

Great beach, plenty of picnic tables. Recommend going earlier than later, water was really nice (clear and very few weeds) in the morning when the lake was calm. We came back later in the evening and the water was much greener as there were lots of boaters on the lake. Beach was nice and freshly groomed...
