Lakeside Laboratory — Attraction in Wahpeton

Lakeside "Labs" have been home base to the fledgling annual Okoboji Writers' Retreat for at least three of it's four years. I've experienced it Sept 2023 & 2024.

I truly enjoyed the lake views, outside seating & nature walks between sessions. Staff here are legendary for their hard work & cooperation.

Buildings range widely in location & condition but are well maintained & often do unique things that I wish I could see in action.

Paths are also well maintained & our event included volunteer golf cart drivers to overcome some of the terrain & distance issues. I believe this is often employed here, if not, I would recommend planners consider it depending on your attendees.

The food provided is hot & fresh with two lines & usually a cold and/or vegetarian option & the servers & cooks are pleasant and lovely.
