Flaherty Park Community Center — Attraction in Wake Forest

I go here to play pickleball three days a week. Courts are adequate but are never blown off or swept. No shade for those of us who like to play outside. The one broom on site looks like it was recovered from someone's trash bin. Bathrooms are a long ways away inside the rec center. Good for the rec center not so good for pickleball players. Plenty of places to put a porta potty close by if they wanted to. I am told there are courts inside available some days of the week. Never...

Massive dog area in a well maintained park. Only issue is the sizes for the dogs. There's an area for 30lb and under and then 30+. My dog is ~40lb and can't really handle 100+lb Mastiffs and adult German Shepards or the other dogs that are more than twice her weight...with as much room as they have available I wish they had separated it 1 more to accommodate the 30-50lb range.
