The Family Bee's-ness — Attraction in Wake Forest

This farm is beyond amazing! It started out with me bringing my 6 and 10 year old to a baby goat snuggle event on Valentine’s Day. They thoroughly enjoyed it and we got all of our questions answered about the goats and the other animals on the farm and I even bought a jar of pickled watermelon rinds! Something I never knew existed but so glad I know now! I love coming here on the weekends..they have so many awesome organic products to choose from. They even helped me order through them to get organic chicken feed that I now feed my chickens! Everyone is so kind and knowledgeable about anything farm and food! I have always searched for some place that does all organic and I hit the jackpot with this farm! This weekend I picked up our smoked Easter ham and I. will. tell. you. what!! I’ve NEVER had a better ham!! I even picked up a couple blueberry and raspberry bushes for the kids that would be from the Easter bunny and some quail eggs for my incubator! I try something new every time I go…I just can’t say enough about this farm! I’m even signed up to learn how to milk goats and process chickens!! So excited about all of the classes coming up, I won’t need a grocery store anymore! Highly recommend whether you want anything from farm experience for you or your littles, looking to buy some great organic products, planning holiday meals, taking classes to learn hands on just how it’s done…and...

Quality ingredients matter and Family BeesNees has them! For example, I had company over and made a pork shoulder (Boston butt). There were no leftovers; everyone went for seconds. One of their comments was "this is no business being this good!" But literally all I did was, rub it sparingly with a brown sugar - hot salt mix, and cook uncovered on 275 about an hour per lb until 190-200 internal temp, and rested covered for 30 min while I made everything else. That's it. And it was the best pork shoulder I ever made.

The classes are also good - I took the chicken processing workshop, it was very good to get first-hand experience with the processing while under supervision of someone who knows what they're doing. James also had a lot of good tips and passed along a lot...

I used to think the “Family” in Family Bee’s-ness was referring to Crystal and James’s family, but as you get to know them you realize that it’s called that because they make everyone they meet feel like family. They are some of the most kind and down to earth people we’ve ever met! As far as their products go, they are definitely our trusted source for meats, produce, and even skin care products. All their products have minimal ingredients and are extremely clean sources. You can’t go wrong with purchasing from them. I highly recommend them...
